Lead-Acid Batteries

Deep-cycle lead-acid in two kinds. AGM is sealed and needs no watering. Flooded needs topping up with distilled water and a vented space. Compare capacity at the same discharge rate: a battery rated at the 100-hour rate shows a bigger amp-hour number than the same battery at the 20-hour rate. Six-volt batteries go in series to make 12, 24 or 48 V banks.
