Hybrid Inverters

A hybrid inverter runs panels, a battery and the grid through one box. Check the battery voltage first: most hybrids here run on a 48 V bank, and the Solis residential storage inverter takes a high-voltage battery instead. Then size it on the loads you want backed up, not the whole house, and check the maximum PV input against your string in the cold. For closed-loop charging, the battery has to be on the inverter maker's supported list.
