Racking and Mounting
How to choose racking and mounting
The mount has to hold the panels through a prairie wind and a roof-load of snow, so start with the load rating against your site, then your roof type or ground conditions. Rails, clamps and feet have to match each other and the panel frame's thickness, so check what each part fits before you order. Ground and pole mounts are often the better choice on an acreage: you can reach the snow, and you can set the tilt for the low winter sun.
